The Wiltse and Parkway Elementary School Choir is run by Mrs. Levant, Mrs. Harkness and Ms.Tucker. These teachers gladly volunteer their lunch hour 2 twice in order for their students to experience the joy of music. Both choirs are made up of students who volunteer their lunch hours once a week in grades 3, 4, and 5 to come share their vocal gifts and passion for the singing. Both choirs consists of 35 students each and their biggest joy is sharing their choral performances at many community and fundraisers events.Lead by Mrs. Levant, her goal is not only to have students learn the basics of choral/ vocal music but for students to have a place to belong, share their passion for music and to thrive. "Music isn't about being perfect, it is about sharing the song within your heart." For the Wiltse and Parkway school choirs music is about sharing and creating an arts community. Mrs. Levant believes, "If we build a passion for music in elementary school, these students will no doubt carry it with them into middle and high-school and hopefully the rest of their lives."
