The École Morden Middle School Jazz Choir is made up of 18 very energetic and passionate grade 7&8 students. This choir practices 2 times per week during their noon hour or after school. They give up countless hours of their free time to make music together. Whenever they are rehearsing they have a ton of fun and are a very close group of kids! This year, they are looking forward to going on a 5 day tour to Calgary to sing at many different venues, see the National Music Center, and go to a dinner theatre. École Morden Middle School is a grade 5-8 school located in the beautiful city of Morden, Manitoba. This small city is the birth place of Loreena McKennitt which is why the choir chose to sing the song Mummer’s Dance. The song was arranged by the students and feature’s our volunteer accompanist Cara Baker on the piano and grade 7 choir member Beth Giesbrecht on the violin.
