Three of the music programs at Korah decided to put together the vocal students from each program to learn the Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen. This group performed for the Remembrance Day Service. These students are from the Korahsters Choir, the Musical Theatre class and our Mustang Sally R & B group. The vocalists learned and rehearsed the music and then presented it to the entire school student body at our service. The idea, along with gathering a video for the competition, was to encourage students and staff in the audience to sing the chorus in memory of the veterans for the 100th anniversary of World War I. It was explained to the student body that music was important and essential in both WWI and WWII to gather the troops while also keeping spirits high. I am extremely proud of the efforts put forward by all of the vocal students in presenting and recognizing Canadian veterans. The students were very excited about singing in front of the student body to support the ceremony.
